Challenges for a New Year - Card 1

My New Year's resolution is to participate in more challenges this year and stretch my creativity. This weekend I have 3 cards to share.

This first card is a nice, simple creation using a new stamp set from Stampin Up that is part of Sale-A -Bration - Epic Celebrations.

I gained inspiration from 3 Challenges:

• Cards in Envy - Tuxedo (Black and White) Challenge 
• Sunday Stamps Sketch - SSC170 
• Watercooler Wednesday Challenge - 153 Gail's Masculine 'Anything Goes' challenge

  

This card uses Basic Black and Whisper White card. The DSP in the background is 'Pop of Pink'. The images and greeting are stamped in Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black and the greeting is cut using the smallest of the Stampin Up Deco Labels framelits, cutting the shape twice and trimming off the ends to get the smaller shape.

Thank you to the designers from each challenge site for the inspiration. They always have such great ideas to get the creativity flowing again.

Challenge Away

I always try to challenge myself to use same stamp set for all challenges in a weekend. This weekend I only managed for two out of the three, using "No Bones About It" from the Stampin Up 2015-16 Annual Catalogue. 

I used two challenge sites to help with my creativity:
Sunday Stamps - Sketch challenge 110 

Color Throwdown - colour challenge 361

  I interpreted the colours as: Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Whisper White and Basic Black

I also used "Gorgeous Grunge" and "And Many More" stamp sets. The Crushed Curry on the base is embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. The leaves have been hand cut.
