Instructions for March Class - One Sheet Wonder

This class we made 5 cards using a stamped sheet of A4 card as the pattern paper. We used the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and the 2012-2014 In Colours (Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit).

Here is the template for stamping the paper (dimensions are written on the template):

Stamp the butterfly image over the A3 card, you can use one colour per stamp or use your markers to multi-colour your images. In the top right corner, you will need to stamp one butterfly that can be cut out using the Elegant Butterfly punch. This is your patterned paper for the card set. Cut it up based on the dimensions above.

Card 1:

1. The base is a 21 x 14.85cm piece of Whisper White card folded in half on the short side.
2. Attach a 14.35 x 10cm piece of Gumball green card.
3. Attach card 1 piece from the patterned paper, attach the 13.85 x 3cm Gumball Green Card across the front of the card. Using 2 pieces of Gumball Green card (10 x 2cm), trim one side using the Adorning accents (scallop trim) edgelits and attach to the back of a piece of 10 x 3.5cm Whisper White card and attach to the front of the card.
4. Using the Adorning accents edgelit to trim both long sides of a piece of 2.5 x 6cm Gumball Green card. Stamp your greeting, with Raspberry Ripple ink, onto a 2 x 5.5cm piece of Whisper white and attach the greeting onto the Gumball Green and onto the front of the card.
5. Attach Rhinestone Basic Jewels on the front of the card for some bling.

Card 2:

1. The base is a 21 x 14.85cm piece of Midnight Muse card folded in half on the short side.
2. Using the piece for Card 2 from the patterned paper, attach to the 14.35 x 10cm piece of Raspberry Ripple card to the base card at the bottom. Attach a piece of 4 x 9.5 cm Whisper White card to the top of the card. Cover the gap between the two pieces with a 12cm piece of Rich Razzleberry stitched grosgrain ribbon and attach the ends at the back of the card. Stamp the greeting, with Raspberry Ripple ink, in the top right corner.
3. Attach to the card base. Punch out the butterfly from the top right corner of your patterned paper with the Elegant Butterfly punch and attach to the front of the card with Dimensionals.

Card 3:

1. The base is a 21 x 14.85cm piece of Raspberry Ripple card folded in half on the short side.
2. Layer the following onto the 4 x 10.5cm Whisper White card, 3.5 x 10cm Midnight Muse, 3 x 10cm Raspberry Ripple and wrap 12cm Midnight Muse stitched grosgrain ribbon over the layers. Attach to the card front towards the top.
3. Layer card 3 piece from the patterned paper onto 6 x 12cm Midnight Muse card and attach on the front of the card using Dimensionals

Card 4:

1. The base is a 21 x 14.85cm piece of Primrose Petals card folded in half on the short side.
2. Attach card piece 4 from the pattern paper across the bottom of the card. Attach 17cm of Summer Starfruit stitched grosgrain ribbon across the middle of the card.
3. Stamp the greeting in the top right corner (just above the ribbon)
4. Last we will be making a matching brad using the Designer Builder Brads from the current mini catalogur. Using a 1/2" circle punch, punch out a circle from the patterned paper, from the part marked brad. Attach the epoxy bubble to the circle and trim the excess paper. Using Tombow Glue, attach the bubble to the main brad. Once dry attach to the front of the card.

Card 5:

1. The base is a 10.5 x 29.7cm piece of Summer Starfruit card folded in half on the long side. Then you take on of the sides and fold it back to the middle of the piece of card.
2. Stamp a small butterfly onto the bottom right corner on a piece of 10 x 14.35cm piece of Whisper White card. Attach this on the inside of the card.
3. On the front flap attach a piece of 10 x 7cm Midnight Muse card, with card piece 5 from the patterned paper. Wrap 30cm of Gumball Green stitched grosgrain ribbon around the card, attach at the back and tie a knot at the front.

Instructions for February class – Man Oh Man!

The first card is quite simple:

1. Cut the card into the following sizes:
Chocolate Chip – 21 x 14.85cm
Soft Suede – 10.2 x 14.35cm
Early Espresso – 5.4 x 2.2cm
Canvas Creations – 5 x 2cm
2. Run the Soft Suede card through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain Embossing folder and then lightly rub Chocolate Chip inkpad across the front of the card.
3. Attach Early Espresso Grosgrain Ribbon (15cm) across the front of the Soft Suede card with Sticky Strip and fold the edges over to the back.
4. Attach soft suede to the front of the folded Chocolate Chip card with Tombow Glue so that you don’t flatten the embossing.
5. Thread the Linen Twine (10cm) through the button holes and tie with a knot at the back. Attach to the card with a Dimensional.
6. Stamp the sentiment from “Happiest Birthday Wishes” onto the Canvas Creations, and using a dauber, lightly sponge soft suede ink onto the Canvas Creations. Attach to the Early Espresso card using Tombow glue. Attach Early Espresso card to the card base using Dimensionals.

The second card uses Parkers Design DSP from the new mini catalogue:

1. Cut the card and DSP into the following sizes:
Cherry Cobbler – 21 x 14.85cm
Cajun Craze – 7 x 6.5 (5cm diameter circle)
Early Espresso – 5 x 5cm (1 5/8” circle)
Natural White – 5 x 5cm (1 1/2” circle)
Parkers Design DSP – 14 x 5.5cm, 14 x 5cm
2. Using Sticky Strip attach the Natural 7/16” Trim Ribbon (10cm) to the 5.5cm wide DSP and attach DSP to the front of the folded Cherry Cobbler card on the left side using snail or Glue stick. Stick the second piece of DSP onto the Cherry Cobbler card, overlaying the first piece by 0.5cm.
3. Stamp the sentiment from “Fourteen Phrases” onto the Natural White card and layer it onto the Early Espresso card. Attach the Cajun Craze circle and the Early Espresso / Natural White Circles onto the card base.

Card 3 uses the 2012-14 In Colours and the “Blast Off” Stamp set:

1. Cut the card into the following sizes:
Midnight Muse – 21 x 14.85cm
Summer Starfruit – 15 x 7cm (x2) – cut oval shape on top edge
Raspberry Ripple – 5.5 x 2cm
Whisper White – 6 x 7cm, 6 x 5cm, 4 x 4cm, 5.2 x 1.5cm
2.  Stamp the rocket onto the 6 x 7cm Whisper White card, cut around the outside of the rocket and the circle from the inside (use a paper piecing tool to poke a hole in the middle and with your Paper Snips cut out to the circle and around).
3. Stamp the boy on the 6 x 5cm Whisper White card. Attach to the rocket image, and cut around the outside of the rocket. Stamp the moon on the 4 x 4cm card and the sentiment on the 5.2 x 1.5cm card.
4. On one piece of the Summer Starfruit card, punch various sized holes, using Crop-A-Dile (or hole punches) and small sized circle punches. Attach this on top of the other piece of Summer Starfruit card to make the moon with craters. Attach to the bottom of the folded Midnight Muse card with Tombow Glue.
5. Attach sentiment to Raspberry Ripple card. Attach Rocket, moon and sentiment to the card with Dimensionals

The box for this month was made with the Boutique Boxes Bundle:

Instructions from January "Oh So Sweet!" Class - Part 4

The 3D project was a 2013 Desk Calendar using the "Feeling Sentimental" Stamp set from Sale-A-Bration 2013.
It was cased from a desk calendar by Diane Barnes (Check out her original using punch art to decorate)

Ingredients:
·        Island Indigo – 21 x 14.8cm, 6 x 2cm, 3.1 x 1.2cm
·        Sycamore Street DSP – 13.8 x 6.4cm (SAB 2013)
·        Tangerine Tango – 14.2 x 6.9, 5.2 x 6.1cm
·        Sahara Sand ink
·        Whisper White – 5 x 5.9cm
·        Island Indigo 3/8” Ruffled Ribbon
·        Feeling Sentimental stamp set (SAB 2013)
·        Calendar

Instructions:
1.       Score the Island Indigo 21 x 14.85cm card on the long side at 7.5cm, 15cm, 17.5cm and 20cm. Fold the card at each score line and, using Sticky Strip, attach the 1cm to the other end of the card, making a triangular prism.
2.       Layer the 13.8 x 6.4cm DSP to the Tangerine Tango 14.2 x 6.9cm card. Attach the Island Indigo ribbon across the front of the DSP and card, using Sticky Strip, then attach to the desk calendar front.
3.       Stamp the Wheel image from the “Feeling Sentimental” Stamp set (one of the sets available from Sale-A-Bration this year) using Sahara Sand ink on the Whisper White 5 x 5.9cm card. Attach this to the front of the desk calendar.
4.       A month by month calendar was produced on the computer, printed and trimmed and stapled to make the month-by-month pad. You can also purchase these from various places (which I found out after preparing for class). Cover the top of the pad with the Island Indigo 6 x 2cm card, scored at 1cm on the short side, then attach to the front of the desk calendar.
5.       Attach the 2013 from the printed calendar onto Island Indigo 3.1 x 1.2cm card and attach to the front of the desk calendar
